The Wavescape
In our group of four my group members and I created The Wavescape which is for a parklite in downtown Davis. From iterating sketch designs to then transferring our designs to rhino we agreed on a final design. I created a chipboard full scale model of our design to represent what in would look like in a smaller size. We then used cardboard cut outs that we glued together to create our final life size design.
The Wavescape is a parklet that invites everyone to relax, connect, and unwind. Whether you’re looking to chat with friends, spend time alone, or have a meal, this open and accessible space caters to anyone. It’s flowing and organic design, along with natural elements, creates a calming and inclusive environment for all to enjoy.

For our chipboard model I used illustrator to send files of my groups parkilte design in smaller pieces to our laser cut machine. I then popped out the pieces from the chipboard and glued them on the base to create our design.
